Join our team – Audiovisual Studies Officer
Mission
Reporting to the Commercial Department, the Audiovisual Studies Officer is primarily responsible for designing and costing technical and financial solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring the consistency, feasibility, and competitiveness of proposals.
This role acts as a central link between commercial, technical, and external partners (clients, architects, engineering consultants, suppliers), translating functional requirements into complete audiovisual solutions that comply with specifications and the company’s quality standards.
Key Activities
1. Needs Analysis and Technical Studies
- Technical file analysis: Review specifications, programmes, plans, and contractual documents (public and private tenders) from a technical perspective.
- Functional understanding: Analyse client usage patterns, operational constraints, and expectations.
- Solution design: Develop complete audiovisual technical architectures (audio, video, lighting, control, networks, automation) in line with functional and budgetary requirements.
- Feasibility studies: Verify the technical, regulatory, and operational feasibility of proposed solutions.
2. Costing and Proposal Development
- Sizing: Produce equipment lists, measurements, schematic drawings, and technical notes.
- Costing: Build techno-financial proposals (quotes, options, variants).
- Optimisation: Identify the best solutions in terms of performance, cost, reliability, and longevity.
- Supplier consultation: Liaise with manufacturers and distributors to validate technical choices, lead times, and commercial terms.
3. Document Writing and Structuring
- Submission files: Write technical memoranda, methodological notes, and compliance documents.
- Clarity and consistency: Structure technical proposals to ensure readability and comprehension by clients and evaluation panels.
- Commercial support: Provide technical assistance to commercial teams during presentations and negotiations.
4. Interface and Handover to Production
- Technical meetings: Participate in meetings with clients, architects, engineering consultants, and partners.
- Internal handover: Ensure complete and structured transfer of project files to project management and production teams (solutions, assumptions, limitations, options, risks).
- Start-up support: Provide technical assistance during project launch phases.
5. Technology Watch and Innovation
- Market monitoring: Track developments in audiovisual technologies, standards, and trends.
- Continuous improvement: Propose new solutions, methodologies, or internal standards.
- Knowledge building: Contribute to the structuring of technical libraries, templates, and study tools.
Candidate Profile
Knowledge and Experience
- Technical: Minimum 10 years of experience in audiovisual systems (sound, video, lighting, control, AV/IT networks, automation), ideally in corporate and institutional environments (meeting rooms, auditoriums, education, public buildings).
- Studies and costing: Minimum 5 years of experience in technical design, sizing, and development of complex proposals (public and private tenders).
- Market knowledge: Good understanding of public and private procurement, technical specifications, and submission processes.
- Tools: Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD or equivalent), the Microsoft Office suite, and costing tools. Familiarity with an ERP, ideally Odoo, is an asset.
- Languages: Fluent French required. Dutch required (good professional level; bilingualism is a strong asset). Professional English (minimum B2 level).
- Location and mobility: Position based in Nivelles. Availability for occasional travel (national and/or international).
