Located along the E411, the Euro Space Center (ESC) does not go unnoticed! This showcase of Space opened its doors to the public in 1991 and is, since then, a reference centre in the popularisation of Space discovery! Thirty years after the opening of the site to the public, a modernization of the installations was necessary. Inytium took part in this complete overhaul by winning two public tenders: the auditorium and the lighting of the scenographic tour.

Our strength is to combine the different trades and techniques to make this centre a place of interaction with high educational value! Thanks to the latest equipment, interactive tools and innovative educational attractions, our technicians and project managers have succeeded in plunging visitors into Space to give them a unique experience! As you can see, these developments have enabled the Euro Space Center to become much more than a modern museum! It is now also a theme park accessible to all and an event and cultural venue capable of hosting the wildest projects!

The lighting of the course

A large part of the museum’s lighting was developed by our technicians to meet the needs of our client and visitors. All dynamic lighting effects were automated and programmed according to the opening hours. However, it is possible for the user to switch to manual mode and choose the desired lighting effects and moods depending on the use of the premises. The installation is controlled via DMX and DALI and consists of white and RGBW light.

The auditorium

Together, Inytium, Nové and Setip won the public tender for the complete redesign of the auditorium. Our creativity, our experience, the choice of equipment proposed and our budgetary consistency convinced the decision-makers to trust us!

Our technical proposal was based on the QSYS solution from QSC, which offers a unique, coherent, reliable and scalable ecosystem. In addition to managing incoming and outgoing audio signals, the QSYS solution offers the possibility of centralising the control of all audiovisual elements in the auditorium via a graphical user interface that is as intuitive as possible for people who may or may not be familiar with audiovisual techniques. As the client does not have a dedicated in-house stage manager, it was imperative to provide a high-tech solution capable of simply recalling all the scenarios imagined from a tablet or smartphone and offering automated, semi-automated or fully manual control of the auditorium depending on the needs of the day.

For the sake of quality and architectural sobriety, the sound diffusion is ensured by four slim “steerable” Bose MSA12X columns, active loudspeakers with DANTE digital audio protocol, offering a powerful internal DSP allowing to model custom sound projection angles based only on the useful area(s). It is indeed by working on the interaction between no less than 48 drivers that we have been able to offer a high-performance, sober and discreet sound system. The bass register is ensured by two active subwoofers from the Bose F1 range for a spectral rendering rich in emotion in the low frequencies.

For the video part, we took advantage of the width of the stage backdrop to offer a more panoramic view of the video presentation.

Equipped with a double Panasonic HD projector and an AnalogWay Nextage 16 – 4K presentation processor, we were able to considerably increase the projection surface by “blending” the two Panasonic HD projectors (creation of a single image by several video projectors), to move from a 16:10 format to a 30:10 panoramic format and to offer greater presentation flexibility thanks to the Nextage 16 – 4K’s multi-layer presentation mode, which can be easily adapted to the audience’s specific projection format.

Amongst other educational tools, we have brought in many other ideas such as the use of a 65″ touch screen on stage that can be used by both the presenter and the audience for greater interactivity. The content of the screen can be projected “live” on the large projection screen in the room for better visibility by all.  Another idea was to propose a Crowdbeamer module, which allows a wifi transmission of the presentation video or the Powerpoint being broadcast to the tablets or smartphones of the audience in the room. What could be easier for students or any other person to make printscreens and personal annotations on them as a reminder afterwards.

We also proposed external digital signage screens to manage welcome messages, display a specific logo, a conference programme or simply to announce an “ON AIR” logo when a presentation is in progress in the auditorium…

The Euro Space Center, a project in which our teams are extremely proud and happy to have taken part!
