Located in the city centre of the Cité Ardente, La Grand Poste, a historic and symbolic building in Liège, used to house the postal services. Disused and classified since 2002, it has been completely renovated and inaugurated in September 2021. After four years of construction, it now houses the journalism department of the University of Liège, the radio station 48FM, the local television station RTC Liège and the daily newspaper, la Meuse. The aim of this project is to bring together and develop a real economic pole focused on the media, communication and digital.
During this renovation, the University of Liege entrusted Inytium with the fitting out of their newsroom. This includes no less than :
- two radio studios,
- a multimedia studio that can be used for audio and video recording of events with or without an audience,
- a newsroom,
- nine editing units,
- three face-cam studios,
- a data studio,
- a dressing room,
- a multi-purpose classroom with 50 seats.
Our teams were responsible for supplying, installing and commissioning the audiovisual equipment as well as the lighting fixtures specific to the needs of these different areas.
Brand new equipment, at the cutting edge of technology for journalists in office and those to come!
